Kappa 5

I upgraded the stereo system in my 2001 Toyota 4Runner which included a new HU along with all speakers and wanted to add a sub. I am limited on space for amp placment in this vehicle and was looking for a single amp solution so I started looking at 5 channel amps. Many 5 channel amps are HUGE and I narrowed it down between the Alpine PDX-5 and this. The PDX-5 is MUCH smaller but also a bit more expensive. I was trying to do this on a 'budget' and was able to get this amp for [...] shipped. I measured it out and it measured to fit perfectly underneath my drivers seat. Exactly what I was looking for. You can BARELY see it stick just out from underneath the seat if you open the back door and look at the floor but it's on average 5" shorter than most amps I looked at. So for my fitment requirements it was perfect. I hooked this up to my Alpine IDA-X305, JL Audio C2-650 components in front and TR525-cxi in the rear ( which I got a great deal on direct from JL on an 'ugly box sale') along with a Polk Audio DXi104 DVC 10" sub. I am totally pleased with this setup and it fits my needs perfectly. This sub hits harder then I thought it would, I listen mostly to metal/rock/alternative and let me tell you Tool pounds using this thing. While it's by no means a 'four blocka' and you aren't gonna win any contests but it sounds great inside the vehicle and yes it will rattle the license plate and sound moderately obnoxious outisde the truck. But if you tune it up right it does exactly what it's supposed to do. Power an entire music system and sound great. I would recommend this amp especially if you are limited on space and just want to have a great sounding system for personal enjoyment.

Infinity's Excelence

Most of us know the things said about this brand. It is great quality, they have some of the best bang for you buck ect. Let me tell you that this amp is here to solve all your installation woes. Think about it guys, no seperate sub amp, no extra imput wires running someplace else. Simplicity at it's finest. Kappa Five delivers a comprehensive package for all your high end power needs. I ran all kappa perfect speakers throughout my 3000gt vr-4 and let me tell you it sounds awesome. I own over 5k in sound equipement in my house, and let me tell you that this is both effortless and clean, the speakers sound like they dont have to work as hard as others to reproduce the same or better results than other brands. I was also running a 8inch infinity reference sub in a custom box-- non vented and I was pleasently surprised after a good break in period. The highs are warm and not harsh, the mids are very balenced with good pressence and the lows are nice and punchy and hit where they should, the sub picks up the rest like a little rabbid Tyson...pumping his fist in the corner. This amp is a very solid investment considering that if you buy it online its roughly half off. Its fairly easy to install and the adjustments to the amp are very easy to understand, also as a plus the demensions of this amp are very compact. You will be shocked that all that sound is coming from this little amp. Hooray D class amps, this thing is a little beast. Get High Sensitivety Speakers and you will have a blast balencing out your system and finding new pleasure in songs you have heard dozens of times previously.One recomendation, get the rest of the kappa series with this amp it makes sense and they sound simply amazing when all paired together.

This amp, much like all amps, was very easy to install once the proper wiring was in place. The sound quality is EXCELLENT!!!I am using this amp to push my 6.5" 3-way speakers in my doors, my 6"x9" rear deck speakers and a 10" sub. The entire system sounds amazing!!The settings on this amp were very easy to figure out.The only downside to this product is that Infinity does not do a very good job with their product documentation. So there was a bit of searching through the documentation to find information on proper settings for my specific setup.
