Good Price - Good Sound - Not GREAT sound...

Good Sound and Good Power - Excellent price - helps fill a vehicle whose factory radio does not fill the bill. But do not expect this to rattle windows. Not a bad deal.

No Power and Runs hot!

This amp is extremely weak. The amp itself is fairly good size. It's a big amp that doesn't do much. It will push my 6.5 inch door speakers fairly good but cannot power my 6x9's. I had to turn the gain all the way up to get it some decent sound. After 5 minutes it was so hot you couldn't touch it. It has plenty of room to dissipate heat so I don't understand why it runs so hot. I used to have a 400 watt sound storm amp before this, It never ran hot and worked for 3 years until I gave it away. I honestly don't see much difference. The sound storm is 400 watts peak and this amp is 1000 watts peak. I figured that if I atleast got 75 RMS out of each channel I would be set. I'm getting about 30 watts RMS per channel. How do I know this? I'm an electronics tech. I'm not going to get in to the math but I'm not happy. The company charges me a 20% restocking fee to return it so I'm just keeping it until it fries. Maybe mine is defective.
