The usual excellent Rockford Fosgate quality
By Scott Carpenter
Rockford consistently underrates their amplifiers. This was installed as part of a total system refresh. Along with this came the JVC KW-XR810 head unit and the Rockford Fosgate 12" powered subwoofer. it went into a 2003 Toypta RAV4, in place of an old (2 years old) Pioneer head unit. I had replaced the stock speakers with Infinity Reference 6.5" speakers in the front and rear. The sound was boomy and muddy, and I didn't think it could get much better without doing some serious sound damping and tuning. I was very wrong. This system has transformed my Toyota. The Infinity speakers have come alive. The highs are crisp and precise, the mids are nicely present but not overwhelming, and the lows (I turned on the high pass filter to let the subwoofer do the job a 6.5" speaker just can't) are solid. The subwoofer isn't overwhelming, although it could be. I adjusted the response to be flat, without the subwoofer drowning out everything else. I've played everything from Bach to Dirty Vegas to Nine Inch Nails. It sounds amazing. Even before I had the subwoofer hooked up, it sounded amazing, and that just made it better.I also have it connected to an ancient Kenwood Sirius tuner that I got a lifetime subscription on about 8 years ago, and that also sounds great - just not as good as a new CD.I made up errands to run today, just so I could spend more time in my car. It sounds that good. I knew my old head unit was under powered for the speakers, but I had no idea that putting an excellent amp in there could change things this much.

rockford fosgate P4004 4 channel amp.
By William Dyer
this is a excellent amp. rockford test's every amp they sell and record the numbers then put them in the box with the amp. The P4004 is rated at 50 watts x 4 at 4 ohms, the one i recieved was shown to put out 93 watts x 4 at 4 ohms. this amp is extremely quiet, you hear nothing when in between songs. the P4004 is combined with an Alpine CDA 9885 reciever, a beautiful combo. the rockford really impressed me, I highly recomend it.
