Amps Don't Know

Amplifiers don't know or care about the quality of your speakers; they only know impedance. This amp is very stable when properly connected for 4 Ohm mono or 2 Ohm stereo. Using this amp, I hit up to 132 dB with no audible distortion/boominess using one Alpine 12" Type R (SWR-1242D) in a downfire box in a pickup, and using 2 Alpine 12" Type Rs in a ported box in a Bronco II. Do not connect it for 2 Ohm mono.RMS rating:800W (400W x 2Ch) @ 2 Ohm560W (280W x 2Ch) @ 4 OhmBridged Power 800W x 1Ch @ 4 Ohm

This amp is only good for pushing cheap wal-mart subs. Do not get this amp for expensive high watt subs, the amp will get burning hot and shut off after 15 mins. I wired my subs to match "4 ohm stable" that the amp requires and still have the same problem. This amp cannot handle the resistance that heavy magnet style subs have. Do things right and look for a class D amp if your serious about car audio. -i first got this amp because it weights 20 lbs- (don't do what i did or you will end up with a shiny paper weight)
