About Boss Products

To those of you who slander Boss Audio just because they're on the low end of the price scale... and for those of you thinking of buying Boss but not quite sure because of the mixed reviews...First off, if you buy this expecting to actually see 2500 watts... that's your first mistake. The first thing you need to do is learn the difference between Peak Power and RMS. Once you've got that figured out you need to realize that Big Brand names usually use RMS while companies like Boss need to catch your eye with peak power (usually at 14+ volts, digital power... perfect world scenario and only for a second or two). While I don't approve of them not displaying the RMS on Amazon for whatever reason, if you head on over to Boss Audio's site you will find true RMS ratings clearly displayed for each product. If I remember correctly for this amp it's somewhere around the 500 watt range @4ohms. (Like the other guy said) If you compare that number with say, an alpine monoblock on Amazon... you're saving yourself around 50 bucks. (Go ahead, look it up)Now that I've talked about quantity, let's talk about quality. I've been working with systems for about 11 years... I've always trusted JL and RF when it comes to helping other people. But when I bought a new truck and wanted to outfit everything from head unit to subwoofer with one company... Neither of them could do it, and definitely not in the price range I was looking for. So I started with some other companies I won't name, because their products were crap. I'm just glad Amazon had my back for some of the best RMA experiences ever. Then a Boss head unit caught my eye. I bought it... and haven't stopped buying Boss since. I now have everything but the capacitor in my truck... and the only thing I've had any problems with were the 3 ways I bought... which coincidentally were the only super low end thing I've purchased from Boss. But I emailed and no problem, just have to call and RMA; because stands behind their products with a 1 year warranty. Only thing left to do now is get that capacitor.Hopefully someday Boss will have the RMS displayed instead of peaks. But you can't beat the price for what you're getting.

Okay for the Price
By silver.nova
I was impressed by this lil boss amp, boss amps in the past really let me down. This is still in no way amazing however, Still better off getting a California 1000 watt mono 1ohm stable amp ( cheaper too)if you can find one.... But as for this amp one thing i noticed first was some people saying it barely hits...... 1st off go to the products Manufacter page, there you will find a few things...... 1 if you wire up 2 dvc subs 1ohm you will get nothing from this amp bc wouldnt ya know it its only 2 ohm stable :O, 2 learn the controls on an amp ( I too was kinda worried till i realized mine shipped in full mode where i got lil to no bass). Also the most I see a usuall application ggetting is in fact maybe 556 rms to 2 dvc subs (RUNNING 4OHM IN THE BOX).IMPORTANT: 1:THIS AMP RUNS AS LOW AS 2OHM STABLE 2:THIS AMP WILL ONLY RUN 2 DVC SUBS 4OHM BC YOU CANT WIRE THEM 2OHM ( NO YOUR WRONG IT WILL NEVER RUN 2OHM I KNOW YOUR THINKING IT, TEST AND FIND OUT) 3:THIS AMP DOES "NOT" COME WITH "BASS BOOST CONTROLLER" 4:THIS AMP "DOES" COME WITH "INPUT LEVEL CONTROLLER" 5:YES I SAID MAX OF 556RMS RUNNING 2 DVC SUBS in 4OHM BC THE ONLY WAY YOU WILL GET CLOSE TO WHAT THIS PAGE SAYS IS IF YOU RUN ONLY 1 SVC or DVC PARR WIRED RUNNING 2OHM 6:YES IT IS CHEAP 7:YES IT IS WORTH IT TO SOMEONE WHO CARES NOT ABOUT COMP AND JUST WANTS SOMETHING TO THUMP THE TRUNK 8:YES IT WILL STILL SHOCK YOU HOW SOLID THE BASS TONES AT 45HZ REALLY ARE 9:YES IT DOES STAY COOL WHEN RUNNING NON STOP 4HOURS STRESS TEST (IF YOUR OVERHEATING MAKE SURE TO CHECK THE VEHICLES POWER WIRING OR CAP 10:YES BATTERY PROBLEMS COULD BE THE CAUSE OF MOST TROLLING REVEIWERS CLAIMING ALL THE AMPS THE COME ACROSS ARE GARBAGE 11:YES SEARCH FOR OTHER ACTUALL REVIEWS FROM OTHER AUDIO GURUU'S 12: YES IF YOUR NOT A COMP BANGER THEN THIS AMP WILL DO YOU GoOD JUST MAKE SURE TO WIRE THE SUBS PROPERLY AND TO ALWaYS CHECK YOUR RCA'S...... THERE THE DEVIL AND THE PROBLEM 90% OF THE TIME.PS: ALL ERRORS ARE HUMAN ERROR SOMEWHERE DOWN THE LINE
