Product Description

The LAVA DTV3X8 multiswitch is ideal for DirecTV subscribers who want to expand their satellite viewing options without installing a sophisticated multi-satellite system. The compact unit, which features a high-quality, low-profile die-cast case, connects a single satellite dish to as many as four satellite receivers, letting you enjoy satellite programming in both main bedrooms in addition to the living room and kitchen. Users can also connect cable and antenna feeds to the switch to receive both local and satellite programming without running several cables to each TV. Another convenient feature is the lack of a power adapter--the multiswitch is powered by the receivers themselves--so users don't need to find an external power source to use it. Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, the DirecTV-approved device is compatible with all 18-inch round satellite dish antennas with dual LNB inputs.
The 3x8 switch provides 3 inputs that can connect a Dual LNB and one off-air Antenna. It has 8 outputs that allow you to connect 8 receivers and watch different channels at the same time. No power supply is needed

Nice switch. Make sure you don't need 4 satellite feeds...

Solid part- easy hook up, I was wondering why it was dropping one of the even local channels and after research realized this switch only supports the old 18" round dish. If you have a 5LNB oval dish with mp4 reception you need the wb68 or better multiswitch. Had to run 2 more feeds from the satellite...

I PURCHASED THROUGH AMAZON.COM ALAVA 3 x 8 Multiswitch for Direct TV..I recently added a couple of Digital Recorders ( DVR )to my Direct TV system requiring two cables per location..This 3 x 8 multiswitch easily replaced the existing 3 x 4multiswitch to allow me to add the required ( two per location )extra coax connections..Everything works fine..Charley
