Best "bang-for-the-buck" Amp!

After extensive research for one amplifier that "does-it-all" I ordered the PowerAcoustik GT5-2500. There were no reviews for this new Gothic-family amp. Well, this ampdoes it all for me: 100W RMS running four component speakers, plus 480W RMS for thegreat JBL GTO804 8" Subwoofer. Unlike other amps in this price range, this one hasVARIABLE high-pass filters for the component speakers (I set it to 100Hz). Most ampsonly give you a fixed 200Hz high-pass which is weird as the subwoofer is dialed toaround 100Hz in its low-pass filter (in my setup anyway). This amp also lets you cancelthe subwoofer x-over which is good for me as I have in the dash the Power Acoustik PWM-19 Parametric Equalizer so I can control the subwoofer's volume AND crossover point (Idid not connect this amp's subwoofer control knob). Keep in mind many advertised specs(including at sonix) are wrong: there are NO Preamp RCA outputs, the input gain range is0.25V~6V and not 0.2V~8V (it helps to see the zoom photos as well). Overall greatsounding amp that allows you a single amp install without the need for a subwoofer amp.I bought mine at ElectroKingDeals in e*** as they have best prices,lowest international shipping and superb service. I only wished this sub would havesub-sonic filter, and that Power Acoustik's tech support would be more responsive andhelpful via email. My other considered amps were the Precision Power PPI S580.5, theCrunch P1-5050.5 and the Boss CX1800, none of which come close to the power and featuresof the GT5-2500. I will definitely buy another same amp for a different car as itsimplifies installation and gives best "bang-for-the-buck".

Great amp....

I was a little hesitant about purchasing this amp, seeing there were no reviews online, but for 128.00 including free shipping,purchased through E***, not here :) sorry Amazon..., this amp is powereing four 6 1/2 kicker door speakers and a Boss Outcast 12" with plenty of reserve left, overall this a great amp not the best but, for price and performance you cant go wrong.

They will make sure you are satisfied. The first amp I recieved was defective. They took care of it and swapped out with a working unit faster than they estimated. The amp itself is awesome. Cant beat the price and it sounds awesome. Be prepaired because it is massive. I put it in my truck under my seat because theres not many places to hide an amp in there.
